Service User Guide and Terms of Business

Angels Wellbeing Services offers friendly support, and assistance to those wishing to retain their independence. This service means you can enjoy the highest possible standards in every respect of support in the comfort of your own home. We provide a flexible approach to caring, giving as much or as little help as individually required.

Our intention is that you enjoy the independence of living in your own home with the reassurance that we can provide the help you need, when you actually need it.


In essence, the aims and objectives of the service can be summarised as follows:

  • To encourage independence

  • To treat our service users as individuals

  • To offer choice in all things were ever practical and possible

  • To treat our service users with dignity

  • To endeavour to fully understand our users needs and enable them to lead a fuller life

  • To ensure privacy is maintained at all times

  • To ensure that security is never breached

  • To continually seek too identify ways of improving our services

  • To work successfully with other care, health and support groups and organisations

  • To provide a respectful, secure, reliable service

Angels Wellbeing Services strive to achieve the highest possible standards and ensure job security by the providing:

  • Staff training if needed

  • Individual development

  • Interaction between management by means of regular meetings and appraisals

  • Attaining a recognised quality accreditation

  • Regular reviews of remuneration and terms and conditions

  • Ensuring to follow policy of equal opportunities to eliminate discrimination

  • CRB/DBS Checked

Angels Wellbeing Services provide the following services:

  • Grocery Shopping and putting away

  • Check Visits

  • Handyman services (basic DIY around the home)

  • Garden services (basic gardening such as grass cutting, weeding, planting and watering)

  • Transportation and assistants to any appointments or outings

  • Domestic light housework (such as cleaning, washing up, tiding and laundry

Angels Wellbeing Services are available 5 days a week, Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm. The services can be provided to users living in the Kettering, Corby, Wellingborough, Northampton and surrounding Areas.

The service can be provided outside these areas and times but will need to be discussed to determine viability.

Our staff will need to assess prospective service users before an offer to provide service can be given

Once this assessment has taken place and we all agreed that it is safe and practical to offer the service a start date will be agreed.

Initially a care plan will be agreed prior to commencement and this will be readily reviewed and updated.

Your confidentiality will be respected at all times.

A copy of contracts agreed care plan and our terms of conditions will be given to you to read with a copy for you to retain.

This service can be offered on a trial basis.

We require a months’ notice to cancel your service with us.


Financial Arrangements

Angels wellbeing Services charge by the hour and for any expenses incurred, (such as mileage).

Invoices will be sent on either daily, weekly or monthly when required. All invoices are required to be settled of 2 working days from receipt. Late payments fees are set at the rate of 4% on the amount overdue, to a maximum of £40.

Payments can be made by cash, Credit or Debit card, or by Bank Transfer.


Comments, Complaints and Concerns

Feedback on the quality of service is always important to us and we are always ready to receive complaints and compliments. In this way, problems can be rapidly identified and corrected and good performance by our staff can be rewarded.

As one of our service users, you are perfectly entitled to comment on our service at any time. If you wish to complain or have any comments about the service you are receiving from Angels Wellbeing Services.

Please discuss the problem with the Director of Angels Wellbeing Service, Angel Priest, who will do her best to resolve any problem quickly and past on any recognition to staff.

Concerns will be confirmed in writing within five working days and will be logged in a manual held in the office. A full investigation will be carried out on all complaints. Investigations will be recorded, and service users will be updated when possible. Any action to be taken will be discussed and agreed where appropriate. Services users may wish to ask a friend or relative to write the concerns for them, which, if possible, should be signed by the service user. Alternatively, the Director will help to put the concerns in writing if they are having difficulties. A copy of such will made for the user to keep for their records.
